As I was browsing my FB newsfeed, I saw an ad of this cute café (I’m a sucker for cute and artsy cafés). I opened the page and was very surprised that it is in Lipa City (just 20-30 minutes away from where I live). The next day, I suggested this café for our weekly family food trip.
The café has a very nice and artsy ambiance. Inside the cafe is a purple Volkswagen beetle that is converted into a café counter.
One side of the room has triangular shelves with books and toy beetles.
The opposite side has a cute couch with colorful pillows and wall décors.
Parts of actual beetle cars were also used as decors. On the side near the counter, there is a display of dreamcatchers, bags and other accessories that are for sale. All are soo pretty! They reminded me of Coachella.
There is a very photogenic and IG-worthy wall art outside the café. A perfect spot for the millennials’ “candid shots” hehe guilty!
They serve burgers, pasta, rice meals, toasts, pancakes, light bites, coffee, smoothies, overstuffed frappe and sundae. We ordered the following:
Cheese Burger (Php 120), Cheese Burger with Bacon and Egg (Php 150) – The first thing I noticed is the cute French fries basket. Cute! Hehe! The patty tasted good and was juicy. We liked it!
Lasagna Rolls (Php 140) – 2 rolls with garlic bread. I loved it! Saucy and cheesy! It reminded me of Banapple’s lasagna rolls.
Pizzadilla (Php100) – Solo sized pizza with pepperoni and cheese. We loved it!
Crispy Fried Chicken (Php 90) and Buffalo Chicken Wings (120) – my 2 sisters ordered rice meals and both of them enjoyed their meals.
Overstuffed Frappe – we ordered 3 coffee-based frappes:
Hazelnut (Php 175) – with Krispy Kreme donut, whipped cream and Peppero on top
S’mores (Php 185) –has mallows, Peppero and a chocolate of choice (my sister chose Reese’s)
Nutella (Php 185) – it has whipped cream and a piece of Ferrero on top
All tasted good but I liked the Hazelnut best. I would definitely come back to try their green tea frappe, overstuffed sundae and other stuff on the menu! The food especially their lasagna rolls is worth the price.
Service was good, too. The staffs were approachable and helpful in helping us choose what to order. After eating, we took quite a long time in taking pictures inside and outside the café. Cute kasi! Haha! Good thing, it was not crowded when we went there. I recommend this place to people who appreciate both art and good food. It a nice chill spot for everyone. I’m so glad the Lipa has this kind of café. I hope that Batangas City will have its own, too!
